Active International Appoints Al Silverstein as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Digital Practice Leader.


PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Active International, a global marketing and business solutions firm, announced today the appointment of Al Silverstein as senior vice president of corporate development and digital practice leader. Silverstein, 38, will report to Eric Larsen, chief operating officer.

 and strategy team tasked with developing holistic solutions to the various issues that confront marketers today. In particular, his focus will be to provide recommendations that extend a brands' reach across online channels, enabling Active to deliver a fully dimensionalized approach to its clients.

Most recently, Silverstein served as group account director at AtmosphereBBDO, where he provided strategic leadership in new and emerging media for clients including Target, Dial, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, AOL, and HBO. Additionally, he managed a team that delivered both winning digital campaigns for clients and measurable results that met their business objectives and market challenges.

Prior to joining AtmosphereBBDO, he served as vice president and management director for Foote, Cone & Belding. In this role, he led the development of a new web and online program for Trane, a division of American Standard, and led a team responsible for award-winning television, print and on-line advertising campaigns. Previously, Silverstein was with OgilvyOne, where he was worldwide management supervisor for IBM and LG, focusing on B2B marketing campaigns, 360-degree brand integration and the development of U.S. channel marketing programs designed to drive store activities. Prior to OgilvyOne, he held a variety of leadership positions at USWeb/CKS and Gap Inc.
