Active Decisions(R), the leading provider of Guided Selling Guided Selling is a concept that enhances the sales process of customer specific products and services. The Active Advisor solution will provide a handheld mobility solution that empowers sales associates and takes retail customer service to a new level.

Active Decisions designed its new Active Advisor(TM) for Handheld solution to operate optimally with Symbol's mobile computing Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission, but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects such as buildings  hardware, especially the durable MC50 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA (1) (Electronic Design Automation) Using the computer to design, lay out, verify and simulate the performance of electronic circuits on a chip or printed circuit board. ). Symbol's touch-screen-enabled mobile devices are designed for sales associates to use freely and throughout the store -- allowing them to stay engaged with their customers and efficiently bring the sale to a close.

Retailers will now be able to better assess the needs of their customers, provide better recommendations, and advise them on the most appropriate purchase. Customers will benefit from the new handheld solution by having access to deeper product knowledge in order to make more informed and more confident purchase decisions.

Equipped with the Active Advisor solution, store associates are prompted to ask the customer a short series of questions about the customer's specific needs and intended uses. Utilizing Active's underlying Decisions Engine, the solution then recommends a series of products that best fit that customer's needs. In addition, the associate can, at any time, scan the bar codes of products of potential interest to the customer to create instant comparisons between the products and help narrow down their choices.
