EK CHUAH is set in Australia. This horror novel features Al Kurk, an overweight, 29-year-old virgin. Al meets Amber, an exotic-looking woman who seduces him, but the morning after, she is gone and blood stains the room.

Author James Cain says, "EK CHUAH examines the dark influences that stalk us all in this twenty-first century sexual society. It looks at love, friendship and basically what makes a man a man, in a story touched with horror and gun smoke, empowered by the metaphor of an AIDS-haunted Mayan god."
