Actiontec Signs Agreement with ASI to Distribute the Company's Skype-Certified VoSKY Product Line; Partnership Expands Reach for Actiontec's Business and Home Products for Skype.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Actiontec Electronics today announced a new distribution agreement with ASI Corp. for its VoSKY(TM) family of Skype-certified products. ASI is positioned to provide extensive distribution and integration support for Actiontec's products in North America. The partnership covers the VoSKY Exchange, the first solution enabling businesses to take advantage of Skype's Internet phone service, as well as three VoSKY consumer products for making Skype calls from home phones, mobile phones, and hands-free speakerphones.

ASI will increase Actiontec's product availability and presence by providing vast pre- and post- sales support, service, technical support, system production and warehousing for Actiontec's products. Effective immediately, the complete range of VoSKY products will be available to resellers and integrators though ASI. The products include VoSKY Exchange, a PBX add-on that enables every phone extension in the office to make and receive Skype or regular phone calls; VoSKY Chatterbox, a plug-and-play USB speakerphone enabling users to make headset-free Skype calls through their PCs; VoSKY Internet Phone Wizard, a small hardware accessory that allows users to make and receive Skype calls on any traditional handset; and VoSKY Call Center, a peripheral that extends Skype calls to any mobile phone.

Special focus will be placed on the VoSKY Exchange, as it will allow businesses to yield major savings on both domestic long-distance and international calls. As the first and only Skype Certified product for business, the VoSKY Exchange plugs into the PBX's analog trunk ports. Outbound Skype or SkypeOut calls are placed by dialing a one-digit access code that is configured when VoSKY Exchange is installed. Inbound calls from other Skype users are routed to any of the Skype company lines and then transferred to the user's extension in the same manner as regular calls.
