Action box. (News in Brief).Parliament will open on September 30 and its members will face three bad pieces of legislation. The government has spoken of abandoning the field of marriage, or passing same-sex union legislation, as Quebec has done already. So far it has not indicated that it intends to defend the existing "one man and one woman" legislation. It will however, "poll" the public. Please be aware of this opinion poll when it comes, and get many to vote against it. All three issues should be defeated. Write the politicians, and alert your family and neighbours. |
