Action Products Forecasts Record Sales for First Quarter; Company to Ship Eight New Products in April.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Action Products International, Inc. (NASDAQ:APII), a leading toy designer and manufacturer of educational and positive, non-violent branded toys for pre-school children through pre-teens, today announced that the company could see record sales in the first quarter. The previous first quarter record was in 2004, when sales reached $1,762,789.

Jerome Sage, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented: "Consumer demand for our specialty toys appears to be growing rapidly. With a strong line-up of unique brands, including Jay Jay the Jet Plane(TM) and ToddWorld(TM), we are well-positioned for consistent growth in the $4 billion educational toy market, the fastest growing sector in the overall toy industry. We continue to open new distribution channels both domestically and internationally. I am confident that we will experience significant sales growth in 2005 and future years."

The Company intends to launch 50 new products in 2005, with eight of those coming on line in April, including reptile Big Box, Insect Big Box, Saturn V inflatable, Aircraft Bitty Bucket, Horse Bitty Bucket, EZ build(TM) Bi-Plane and several new space items.
