Action Engine Announces Appointment of Scott G. Silk as President, CEO and Director.

REDMOND, Wash. -- Action Engine Corporation, the leading provider of Advanced Data Services (ADS) solutions for smart phones and devices, today announced that its board of directors has unanimously elected Scott G. Silk as president, chief executive officer and director of the company. Silk most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of ePresence (Nasdaq:EPRE), a leading provider of Security and Identity Management (SIM) solutions. Silk, 46, joined Action Engine in his new capacity and the company's board of directors on June 14, 2004.

Silk has more than 20 years of executive experience leading technology companies. In his previous role as general manager for ePresence, Silk established the company as a leader in the Identity Management segment while increasing shareholder valuation by more than 100%. Additionally, Silk was instrumental in driving the company's merger & acquisition strategy that led to the sale of ePresence's security and identity management services to Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS).

Prior to joining ePresence, Silk had a distinguished career with Gentia Software Inc. where he served as president of North American operations and vice president of worldwide marketing. While there, Silk grew the company's North American software revenues to $20 million, established it as an acknowledged leader in the Balanced Scorecard software space and re-positioned the company as a part of its merger & acquisition strategy. Earlier, Silk was the assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Unisys Corporation. Silk's career-to-date highlights include extensive experience in senior general management, sales and marketing roles with Unisys, Ally Software and Actium Corporation.

Silk completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University and holds a master's degree business administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
