"The Department of Labor project was planned a year out - and there was a huge demand that far surpassed what they'd thought they'd be needing," says Rona Fitzgerald, who heads up the Action Duplication facility in Maryland.

"Up From Zero" was distributed via the Department of Labor Website -- and as word about the availability of the free title spread over the Internet, orders for the DVD far exceeded initial expectations. More than 200,000 copies of the title were replicated in a series of orders and re-orders before the program was ended.

"What our customers are most impressed with is that fact that we're extremely sensitive to their needs, whether they're doing 10 copies or 10,000 copies," says Fitzgerald. "It's not unusual for us to get things at the last minute, or deal with last-minute changes."

"Most of our referrals come from customers who find themselves in a predicament Predicament
