As Acting Senior Director for the NSC and HSC, Melissa Hathaway is leading a 60-day interagency review of the cybersecurity plans, programs and activities underway throughout the federal government. That review, scheduled to be completed this month, will develop a strategic framework to ensure that federal government cybersecurity initiatives are appropriately integrated, resourced and coordinated with Congress and the private sector.

Previously, Hathaway served as Senior Advisor In some countries, a Senior Advisor is an appointed position by the Head of State to advise on the highest levels of national and government policy.
