Acterna's GPRS option for AirAudit builds on the product line's core capabilities, utilizing the same platform and remote test devices and providing both voice and data testing in one system. The AirAudit solution gives wireless operators the power to maintain their networks through end-to-end verification of network functionality addressed from the "subscribers'" perspective by testing services from the air interface.

"As wireless carriers migrate to next-generation platforms, they rely increasingly on automated test and management solutions like the AirAudit Call Verification System for GPRS to ensure operational efficiency and revenue streams," said Don Duff, vice president, Acterna Wireless Air Interface Group. "With our new GPRS capability Acterna has made it easy and affordable for our customers to simultaneously support emerging technologies and market-driven requirements."

The AirAudit Call Verification System for GPRS performs fully automated, centrally managed test calls. Without ever leaving the office, AirAudit users can verify the switching, routing, enhanced services Enhanced service is service offered over commercial carrier transmission facilities used in interstate communications, that employs computer processing applications that act on the format, content, code, protocol, or similar aspects of the subscriber's transmitted information;  and billing integrity of the network. Using AirAudit, network and billing errors can be proactively identified and corrected before they impact customers.

Using the AirAudit system, wireless service providers optimize optimize - optimisation  the entire service assurance process, increasing operating efficiencies, reducing costs associated with testing, and ensuring the total network economy.
