Actel Names New Worldwide Sales Vice President Taps Former Sharp Executive.


SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 1996--John East, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Actel Corporation, today announced the appointment of Douglas D. Goodyear as the company's vice president, Worldwide Sales.

Goodyear, a 17 year veteran of electronic systems and component sales, will join Actel on February 20, replacing M. Douglas Rankin who has chosen to retire after 10 years with the Company. Rankin will assist in the transition and remain with Actel in an advisory capacity.
