Acta Expands Management Team With Seven Key Appointments and Promotions; Number of Employees Increases by Forty Percent in First Quarter 2000.

Acta Technology, Inc., the first and only solution designed to make enterprise data B2B eCommerce-ready for all channels in the networked economy, announced today seven key management team appointments and promotions.

The appointments Acta announced today are:

      -- Stephen Crimi as Vice President of Alliances. Crimi will be
driving Acta's partnership relationships in B2B eCommerce. Crimi was
most recently a marketing manager in Hewlett-Packard's E-Services
Partner Division.

      -- Mike Lough as Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Lough
joins Acta after holding corporate marketing positions with a number
of companies including Active, Inprise and Remedy. Lough will chart
Acta's corporate marketing efforts.

      -- Larry Scroggins as Vice President of Partners and Channels.
Scroggins is a veteran senior product and marketing executive. In his
new position, he will concentrate on positioning Acta's products with
the right partners and channels.


- Acta also announced the following promotions today:

      -- Dave Berry to Vice President of Europe, Middle East, and
Africa. Berry most recently was Managing Director of Western Europe.
As Vice President of EMEA, Berry will head Acta's sales efforts in
those regions.

      -- Phil Brotherton to Vice President of Marketing. Brotherton, a
Hewlett-Packard alumnus, joined Acta in November 1999 as Vice
President of eCommerce. In his new position, he will be responsible
for all marketing activities.

      -- Jeff Coombs to Vice President of Worldwide Market Development.
Since joining Acta in August 1997, Coombs has been responsible for
expanding Acta's worldwide marketing efforts. In his new role, he will
be responsible for developing Acta's visibility worldwide.

      -- Bob Hagenau to Vice President of Product Management. Hagenau
most recently was Director of Product Development for Acta. In his new
position, he will continue building a world-class product team.

According to Tina Smith, Acta's VP of Human Resources, Acta has a 95 percent success rate at job-offer acceptance. "In Silicon Valley, where demand for high tech talent is at a premium, Acta has been highly successful in attracting, retaining and promoting talented employees.
