WHILE the sun is shining, energy bills may be the last thing on your mind.

But for those about to come off fixedrate tariffs This is a list of tariffs and trade legislation:

, now is the time to find your next deal or you could end up paying over the odds.

Last year's unprecedented 42% price rise in fuel bills meant a fifth of customers were smart and picked fixed-rate deals.

British Gas's Websaver 3 offers the best current online dual-fuel tariff.

But don't worry if you don't have a computer - some online tariffs, including NPower's Sign Online, don't need to be managed online.

You just need to sign up using a friend's computer or one at a library.

After that, you can opt for paper bills, so you can still take advantage of these cheaper deals.
