. The move came less than a week after another legislative committee approved a measure to outlaw workplace discrimination against gays and lesbians.

Mason, Ohio Mason is a city in southwestern Warren County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2000 census, Mason's population was 22,016. It was the fastest-growing and most populous city in the county. Until February 1997, it was part of Deerfield Township.  

The Mason Community Center in April refused to sell a family pass to Heather Scott and her partner, Carrie Scott, because they don't meet the city's definition of a married couple. The Scotts were joined in a civil union in Vermont Vermont (vərmŏnt`) [Fr.,=green mountain], New England state of the NE United States.
