Acronis joins IBM BladeCenter Alliance Program.


Acronis, Inc, have announced today that it has joined the IBM BladeCenter The IBM BladeCenter is IBM's blade server architecture. History
Originally introduced in 2002, based on engineering work started in 1999, the IBM BladeCenter was a relative late comer to the blade market.
 Alliance Program and that its enterprise-class Acronis True Image Acronis True Image is a disk imaging and disaster recovery applications program for computers produced by Acronis. True Image can create an image of a disk while it is running Microsoft Windows or Linux, or offline, and can restore the image to another disk, resizing partitions if  family supports IBM's Intel-based BladeCenter servers. Acronis has recently been certified as IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  ServerProven for its System x servers.

The Acronis True Image Enterprise Server software ensures the availability of data for IBM BladeCenter customers. Acronis True Image Enterprise Server is recognized as a leading commercial disk-imaging disaster recovery and bare-metal restore Bare-metal restore is a technique in the field of data recovery and restoration where the backed up data is available in a form which allows one to restore a computer system from "bare metal", i.e. without any requirements as to previously installed software or operating system.  software product that can perform sector-based imaging as well as file and folder backup of entire servers. It also allows server administrators to perform a hardware-independent bare-metal restore for disaster recovery or in the event of a full systems failure. It includes a number of components that offer great flexibility for corporate IT departments: Management Console A terminal or workstation used to monitor and control a network.
