devices first shown on March 8th 2007, Molecular Vision has continued to develop the detection of fluorescent dyes in a head-on geometry using its proprietary detection system based on organic light emitting diodes See LED.  (OLEDs), microfluidic chips and organic photodetectors. Dye concentrations of 0.1 micromolar have now been reliably measured. With further improvements in the detection system, it is expected to achieve a detection limit of 0.01 micromolar in the near future.

The company has directly addressed this market demand by inventing a novel method for optical detection based on recent advances in organic electronics and light emitting diodes combined with microfluidics technology. The company has mainly focused on applying its technology to the medical diagnostics markets. Molecular Vision recently signed a major development contract with Acrongenomics Inc. to jointly exploit and commercialize the technology.
