Acron Intends to Invest in China.

Acron of Russia gave an intention to try to make an overall cooperation with Chinese enterprises of chemical fertilizer. They set to promote sales volume in China as a long- term goal. But export of products would be limited not only by subjective factors such as the production capacity of enterprises, but also by objective ones such as import quotas and transport conditions, it is therefore difficult to depend on Acron only. So they decided to make an overall cooperation with Chinese enterprises of chemical fertilizer as their development orientation. They had in mind export of technologies and capital and also buying stocks to realize the localization of Acron's products step by step.

Acron was the earliest one to express a clear and definite idea to make an overall cooperation with Chinese chemical fertilizer enterprises. They expected to choose the most excellent assets from among most excellent enterprises to make cooperation at the period of a low tide and gained profound payoff with a lower input.

According to a correspondent, about a year ago, Acron began to choose cooperative targets. The earliest one was once a discussion with a certain group in Shandong. The latter once sent a group of people to Acron for inspection. Acron also provided the counterpart with the financial statement of 3 years. That fully indicated their good sincerity and positive action. It was reported that the negotiations between the two sides had not yet entered into the substantial phase, but the cooperative intention was clear and definite towards the two sides. Acron selected a certain kind of project of integration of mining with fertilizer in Hubei province as another target. They made contacts through the department of foreign trade in the province expressing the desire to make an investment for the counterpart and also asked them to propose a program for cooperation. It was reported that a person in charge of technique was sent to China in the end of Aug. or in the beginning of Sep. 2000 for a visit during the stay in C hina, he paid visits to cooperative partners and made talks on some concrete matters concerned.
