Acres & Alliance Gaming to Offer New Line of Slot Bonus Games; New Games to be Featured At Upcoming Gaming Shows in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 2001

Acres Gaming Incorporated (Nasdaq SM: AGAM), the leader in Bonusing(TM) technology for the gaming industry, and Bally Gaming and Systems, a business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq NM: ALLY), today announced an agreement in which Acres will provide game design and engineering and Bally Gaming will provide manufacturing and distribution for a new line of bonus games.

The initial agreement covers three models, all based on Bally Gaming's popular S6000 spinning reel slot machine, and Acres Bonusing Technology. The companies will share equally in the resulting profit, and additional models can be added in the future.

The new models feature an attractive Acres-designed topbox that sits on top of the base slot machine. The topbox is used to display an interactive secondary bonus feature that enhances the entertainment value of the game. The machines are currently available for sale to casino operators through Bally Gaming's sales organization and can be purchased either as an entirely new machine or as an add-on to an existing game. The topbox is designed for easy conversions as new game themes become available. The games have already been approved in Nevada and California, and approval in other markets is expected soon.

The new bonus games will be featured at the two major gaming industry trade shows taking place in Las Vegas this October: the Global Gaming Expo, October 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center; and the World Gaming Congress & Expo, October 17-19 at the Sands Convention Center.
