Acre avoid a Stock slump; FESTIVAL LEAGUE.

HUNDRED Acre and Stockland Star shared the spoils after the Premier Division battle between second and third developed into an eight-goal thriller.

Stockland twice went a goal in front, only to be pegged back by Acre on each occasion, but the visitors then opened up a comfortable 4-2 advantage.

Still the Acre refused to concede defeat and roared back again to grab two goals and a deserved point.

Rencher hit two for the Acre with Shiels and Hughes also on target, while there were doubles for both Tyrell and Gibbons Famous people named Gibbons include:

Leaders Erdington Cosmos Keys suffered their first league setback of the season with a surprise 2-1 defeat to bottom side Audley Rangers. A 3-1 victory over Trooper enabled Kingshurst Sporting Club to move into third with goals from Simon Hollis (2) and Agbor.

Premier One leaders Wednesbury Rosehill Tavern drew 3-3 with Paget Sports after throwing away a twogoal lead.

Wonder Vaults Sunday wasted the chance to go top after a 3-2 home defeat to Thimblemill, who now move up to fourth.

Bellford Rovers won their first league game when they defeated Warren Rovers 3-2. In Festival One, St Gerards climbed to second with a 3-2 win over Three Horseshoes.
