Acquisition of Medi Guard Inc.


MANITOBA, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1997--National Healthcare Manufacturing Corp. (NHMC NHMC National Hispanic Media Coalition ) announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase 100 percent of privately held Medi Guard Inc. of Oakville, Ontario Oakville (2006 population 165,613[2]) is a town on Lake Ontario in southern Ontario, Canada, midway between Toronto (about 31 km or 19 mi away) on its eastern border and Hamilton (about 20 km or 12 mi away) from its western border. .

Medi Guard, as a result of rapid recent growth, is Canada's leading manufacturer of cellulose-based disposable protective products for medical use. These products include examination gowns, drapes drape

First-Quarter Revenues

NHMC announced sales of $1,845,743 for the first quarter ending Sept. 30, 1997, representing a 176-percent increase over the comparable period last year.

Also pursuant to Friday's annual general meeting held in Manitoba, MB NHMC has included the following senior management as new officers in the corporation:
