Acotec Software Licenced by Microsoft for BackOffice Small Business Server 4.5.


SAN FRANCISCO and BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 1999--

Acotec Inc (formerly Virtual Motion) announced today that Microsoft Corp. has licensed its Internet Mailbridge for Exchange(TM) software for use in the new Exchange Connector for POP3 Mailboxes that will be incorporated in Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server version 4.5.

The new Exchange Connector for POP3 Mailboxes is a POP3 gateway that allows users to download e-mail from ISP-provided POP3 mailboxes to Microsoft Exchange. This gives Small Business Server 4.5 users all the collaboration and communication benefits of Exchange server while using a low-cost, dial-up ISP (1) See in-system programmable.
