Acotec Appoints Alternative Technology as Sole US Distributor of Remote Access Manager.


BERLIN and SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 1999--

Acotec, the leading developer of remote access server and client management software, has appointed Alternative Technology, an NT networking focused value-added distributor, as its sole US distribution partner. The companies will jointly develop and promote Acotec's VAR program, and all reseller orders for Remote Access Manager(TM) 2.0 (RAM) will be fulfilled by Alternative Technology.

Alternative Technology was formed in 1986 as a technical distributor to provide "value-added," leading-edge technologies to its reseller base. As a value-added distributor, the company provides its resellers with easy access to a wide variety of products, educates its resellers, and supports those resellers in the design, installation, education and ongoing support of the products it sells.
