) announced today that the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel had determined to allow the continued inclusion of Acorn Products' common stock on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market, noting that the Company appears to comply with all quantitative listing requirements Listing requirements

Requirements, including minimum shares outstanding, market value, and income, that are laid down by an exchange for any stock to be listed for trading.

The Company has been asked to provide additional materials to the Listing Qualifications Panel to verify that it complies with all listing requirements. Effective with the open of business on January 9, 2003, the Company's trading symbol Trading symbol

 will be changed to "ACRNC." The "C" will be removed from the Company's symbol once the Listing Panel has confirmed compliance with all listing criteria.
