Acordia Realigns its Regional Structure; Names New Regional Managing Directors.

), announced today that the areas served by the present Acordia Southwest and Mountain West Regions have been renamed and restructured.

The former Southwest Region will become the West Region and will include the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Robert C. Kent will assume the responsibility for the West as Regional Managing Director.

Most recently, Kent has been consulting with senior mangers at Acordia on operating matters after his retirement from his position as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Kent joined Acordia in 1991 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Acordia Benefits Services of Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. Schneider joined Acordia in 1995 as a producer. He was quickly promoted to Commercial Lines Manager and Sales Manager of the Acordia Cincinnati office. He then became Managing Director of Acordia's Colorado operations in 2001.

Schneider is on the Board of the Economic Development Corporation in Colorado Springs, as well as the Board of the Colorado Springs Assets for Youth. Prior to that, he was on the Cincinnati Insurance Board.

Schneider is a graduate of the Miami University of Ohio. He also completed the Wharton Executive Insurance program and the Center for Creative Leadership program in Colorado Springs.

The company's North and South Dakota operations will be reassigned to the Midwest Region headed by Dan Goldapp, Regional Managing Director.
