Acme Markets Purchases Two More Fayetteville Area Stores.


NORTH TAZEWELL, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 1999--

Acme Markets
This article is about Acme Markets, the Philadelphia-area division of Supervalu. For the Akron, Ohio based chain, see Acme Fresh Market.
Acme Markets is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based Supervalu.
 today announced it has purchased two more stores in the Fayetteville, N.C. market.

The two locations, former Kroger stores, are now being remodeled and expect to conduct their grand re-openings in mid-December.

The 42,000 square-foot stores are located at 2474 Hope Mills Road and 3650 Raleigh Road. These stores will feature deli-bakery departments, card and party shops, selections of fresh seafood, large assortments of beer and wine and a natural foods and nutrition shop.

 President Ed Kolodzieski said, "We're very excited about expanding our presence in Fayetteville. Acme bought its first store in the Fayetteville market this summer when it purchased a Lowe's Foods location in Spring Lake. That store was remodeled earlier this fall and held its grand re-opening several weeks ago.
