Acist Medical Systems, Inc., a privately-held medical device company, announced today that it has completed a $14.0 million private placement of preferred equity with a group of investors led by First Union Capital Partners of Charlotte, NC. Also participating in the round were Treg Holding S.A., Bracco Diagnostics Inc. and one individual investor. Following the financing, Neal Morrison, Partner of First Union Capital Partners, will join the Company's Board of Directors. Acist Medical's earlier investors include Vector Fund Management of Deerfield, IL.
