Two Saskatchewan students were among the latest recipients of the Canada Post Aboriginal Incentive Award, given out each year to Aboriginal people who have overcome adversity in order to further their education. Tara Littlechief from White Bear First Nation, who is enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan The University of Saskatchewan (U of S) is a coeducational public research university located on the east side of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The University is celebrating its centennial year in 2007.  Nursing Education program and taking classes at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology History
The four schools that make up the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology started off as four individual schools. Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw started off as the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in 1959.

Origins
In direct response to the award of the University of Saskatchewan to Saskatoon rather than Regina, the Methodist Church of Canada established Regina College in 1911 on College Avenue in Regina, Saskatchewan, starting with an enrollment of 27 students;
 were presented with their awards at the main post office in Regina on Dec. 6. The students were presented with cheques for $1,000 by Judy Weber Fraser, Canada Post's operations director for South Saskatchewan and Western Manitoba. Littlechief and Morrow were among 20 students to receive the award for 2007.
