Achex, Inc. Names Dr. William Turner to Board of Advisors.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2000

Achex, Inc., an innovator in online payment technology, today announced the appointment of Dr. William Turner to its Board of Advisors. Dr. Turner, Vice President of Professional Services at CAT Technology, will provide counsel on matters of security and system integrity as the company deploys online and offline payment solutions.

Dr. William Turner has architected key network and security solutions for organizations including Wells Fargo Bank, Kaiser Permanente, Xerox Corporation, Lucent Technologies, Chase Manhattan Bank, Ameritech, and MCI. He was most recently engaged in network and security work for SBC Communications, the parent company of Southwestern Bell, Ameritech, Pacific Bell, SBC Telecom, Nevada GBell, SNET, and Cellular One. Dr. Turner is also the founder of Precision Digital, a global security organization based in San Francisco and Livermore. He recently was chosen to serve as a member of a Senate committee on Internet security and has been involved in cryptographic programming for the National Security Agency.

Dr. Turner received a Ph.D. in engineering from Trinity University. He was part of the development team that authored the OSPF routing protocol, and has been published widely on biometrics, TCP/IP, and other technology subjects.
