In addition, the Board of Directors has permitted the sale of Sertek Inc., Acer's fully-owned electronic component distributor to Yosun Group, who specializes in sales and service of semi-conductor electronic components. Yosun shall acquire Sertek through exchange of shares and cash, and become its 100% shareholder. Acer shall become a member of Yosun's board.

Acer expects these two companies will greatly complement one another. Yosun is one of Taiwan's leading electronic component distributors; the acquirement of Sertek will expand Yosun's business scale - an important factor to sustaining in this competitive market.
