Ace Matt keeps on winning.

NORTH WALES ALLIANCE MATTHEW TOTTEY won the Pro-Am for the fifth time in the last six weeks when the North Wales Professional Alliance meeting was held at Holywell, a competition which was decided over 15 holes after the start was delayed by fog.

Tottey, partnered this time by Ian McDonald from his own club North Wales, won with 37 points, one ahead of Matthew Davies, now at North Wales Golf Range, and his dad Roger, a member at Holywell, with Alex Rowland from Hawarden and his older brother Paul from the host club third on 35.

Matthew Tottey also won the individual prize for the third time with 35 points.

Three pairs finished on 37 points in the Am-Am, Kevin Jones from Northop and Alun Evans from Betws-y-Coed winning on a countback from Brnyli Thomas of Denbigh and Dave Rees of Prestatyn with Carden Park's Dave Cooper and Grant Moffatt third.

This week's Alliance meeting tomorrow is at Rhosneigr and secretary John Snead points out to members that there will be no catering as the club's kitchen is being refurbished.
