NORTH WALES North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England.  ALLIANCE MATTHEW TOTTEY won the Pro-Am for the fifth time in the last six weeks when the North Wales Professional Alliance meeting was held at Holywell, a competition which was decided over 15 holes after the start was delayed by fog.

Tottey, partnered this time by Ian McDonald from his own club North Wales, won with 37 points, one ahead of Matthew Davies Matthew Davies (born May 4, 1981 in Southampton) is a British figure skater. He competed in men's singles and won the gold medal at the British Ice Figure and Dance Championships in 2001, and again in 2003. , now at North Wales Golf Range, and his dad Roger, a member at Holywell, with Alex Rowland from Hawarden and his older brother Paul from the host club third on 35.

Matthew Tottey also won the individual prize for the third time with 35 points.

Three pairs finished on 37 points in the Am-Am, Kevin Jones Kevin Jones is the name of:
  • Kevin Jones (BMX rider), rider in the sport of Flatland BMX
  • Kevin Jones (football player), running back for the Detroit Lions NFL team
 from Northop and Alun Evans from Betws-y-Coed winning on a countback from Brnyli Thomas of Denbigh and Dave Rees of Prestatyn with Carden Park's Dave Cooper and Grant Moffatt third.

This week's Alliance meeting tomorrow is at Rhosneigr and secretary John Snead points out to members that there will be no catering as the club's kitchen is being refurbished.
