Ace Knights staying put, says Yates.


KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Mark Yates has ruled out any move for Darryl Knights Darryl Knights (born 1 May, 1988 in Ipswich) is a professional English footballer. He is a striker and currently plays for Yeovil Town.

Knights started his career at Ipswich Town. A product of their academy, he signed professional for the club in May 2005.

Yates insisted there had been no offers for Knights: "It's genuinely a rumour to me - if anyone knows anything different then give me a shout!

"Darryl's started the first few games and then we've changed things around slightly. He has to be patient and wait for his chance, he knows that.

"I've spoken to him and he's happy with the situation.

Hopefully when he gets his chance he will respond in a positive manner.'' Yates refused to be critical of his players following the Bank Holiday defeat to Tamworth.

Instead he promised his side would improve for today's Blue Square Premier game against Eastbourne Borough.

"We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. I keep telling the players to keep their feet on the ground,'' said Yates.

"I'm not going to lambast my players over the performance at Tamworth. It just wasn't good enough and we shouldn't have conceded con·cede
