) today announced that it has added a key executive to serve on both management teams. Rudy A. Mazzocchi will serve as a Venture Partner with AMV and as Vice President, Business Development with TIF.

Mr. Mazzocchi, age 47, has 25 years of senior management and financing experience in the medical technology industry and most recently served as Chairman and Interim-CEO of Triton BioSystems, a company developing a nanotechnology based approach to cancer therapy. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Image-Guided Neurologics, an early stage neurosurgical device company acquired by Medtronic in August 2005. He was also Founder, President and CEO of Microvena Corporation, an interventional medical device company now known as "eV3", a publicly traded company publicly traded company

In conjunction with this announcement, AMV announced that, by mutual consent, one of its managing directors, Michael Partsch, has left the firm to pursue other interests.

The Innovation Factory was created in 1999 and has become recognized as one of the leading medical device incubators in the industry. It has spun out several device companies, including Acufocus, LipoSonix, Neuronetics, and NeoVista. Accuitive Medical Ventures, L.L.C. is a medical device-focused venture capital firm with over $150 million under management. AMV places a significant part of its investment capital in companies that were initially incubated within TIF.
