Accugraph to distribute CADTEL LOGIC software for telecommunications outside plant.

EL PASO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 1995--Accugraph Corporation (NASDAQ:ACCUF) (TSE:ACU) Monday announced an agreement to distribute telecommunications software products developed by Phoenix-based CADTEL Systems, Inc.

The agreement marks the first time two network information software companies have merged technologies to provide "end-to-end" management software to telephone, cable, and utility companies.

With CADTEL's LOGIC(R)/gis suite of products, Accugraph gains access to telecommunications software geared to the outside plant (OSP) market, which complements Accugraph's dominant position in central office engineering, or inside plant, technology.

Accugraph's network management products provide fully integrated data and graphical information, enabling instant access to industry standard databases through the selection of graphic elements.

Dennis McGinn, Accugraph's president and CEO, said the integration of CADTEL products with Accugraph's MT900 Software Solution Series means telecommunications companies and utilities can map out, engineer, configure, and document all of their interior and exterior equipment assets.

CADTEL's software is integrated with the industry-leading AutoCAD graphics engine developed by Autodesk, Inc. In May, Accugraph announced a joint development agreement with Autodesk to incorporate the AutoCAD graphic capability into Accugraph's products, and the CADTEL distribution agreement reinforces that strategy.

CADTEL Systems, Inc., established in 1985, is a provider of AM/FM/GIS systems and solutions with specific applications developed for telephone and electric utilities. LOGIC(R)/gis, a member of CADTEL's family of products, combines Autodesk's AutoCAD technology, the GIS technology of Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc.'s ArcCAD and CADTEL's customized applications.
