AccuRev Announces New Board Member; Technology Veteran Richard Davis Joins AccuRev As SCM Leader Continues Growth.

LEXINGTON, Mass. -- AccuRev(R) Inc., the leader in software configuration management (SCM) for distributed development teams, today announced that technology industry executive Richard Davis has joined the company's board of directors. Davis brings extensive sales development and management experience to the board as the company works to expand sales channels and operations, capitalizing on increasing demand for AccuRev's advanced SCM products.

Since securing more than $2 million in Series A funding earlier this year, AccuRev has made significant traction in expanding its reach into the financial services and embedded systems software industries. Davis is expected to help guide AccuRev toward the continued expansion of its business.

Davis has more than 25 years of experience in helping companies capitalize on new market opportunities and expand sales. He currently serves as the Chairman, CEO and President of Ardence, Inc., where his efforts to expand the company's software offerings have led to a 260 percent revenue growth during its most recent fiscal year. Prior to Ardence, Inc., Davis served as president and CEO at Rand McNally & Company, where he helped the 147-year-old company take advantage of new growth opportunities by overseeing the introduction of new software products and online services. At Applix, Inc., where Davis served as president of customer operations/sales, his direction and leadership helped the company increase sales from $4 million to $51 million. Davis also served as CEO of iMarket, which was acquired by Dun & Bradstreet, and as president and CEO of Nabnasset Corporation, which was acquired by Quintas Corporation.

"Richard Davis' track record of success in growing sales operations will be a valuable asset in support of AccuRev's plans to expand our sales channels, build on our leadership SCM technology and leverage venture capital investment," said Lorne Cooper, president and CEO, AccuRev. "AccuRev has grown dramatically in recent years, and as we look ahead we see even greater opportunities."
