routing, including its new High Velocity Series III-C. Todd Herzog, president of the Morrison-TN-based company, said his company has raised the rapid positioning feedrate of the router series to 4,000 inches per minute on the X and Y axes.

The High Velocity Series III-C uses automatic cornering ACC/DEC software. This software when activated in a CNC program will automatically dictate the fastest feedrate possible for a machine to turn a corner (as fast as 1/4 second) or make a straight-line move.

The high speeds are also made possible by the use of custom, precision-grounded ball screw technology, Herzog said. These ball screws incorporate precision oversized ball nuts with hand-fitted balls.

Accu-Router also demonstrated nesting capabilities. Herzog announced a new marketing alliance with SigmaTEK Corp. of Bellevue, WA, to promote the software developers Sigma-Nest PC-based automatic nesting software. SigmaNest software can be used in tandem with Accu-Router CNC routers to machine plywood, particleboard par·ti·cle·board or particle board
