According to Dell'Oro Group, Outlook Bullish for SAN Market; Fibre Channel Switches and Host Bus Adapter Sales to Double Over Next Five Years.

"End-users' storage needs are increasing by 30 to 100 percent annually because more data is being generated and retained for longer periods of time. This growth is being fueled by a number of factors: increases in the number of users, growth in the size of files, and a rise in the number of copies kept."
