its newest property in Sacramento, CA --

Extended Stay America, Inc. (NASDAQ:STAY) (The Company) has opened its second property in California. The rapidly growing chain of extended stay facilities is developing properties nationwide.

According to President and Chief Executive Officer George D. Johnson, Jr., "The extended stay market is the fastest growing segment of the hotel industry and is quickly catching the interest of business professionals, people relocating and those on extended work assignments. EXTENDED STAYAMERICA facilities are filling a void that exists for today's value-conscious travelers."

The 120-room property in Sacramento is located at 3825 Rosin Court. A second EXTENDED STAYAMERICA facility is under construction in Sacramento at 2100 Harvard Street and is scheduled to open in the Fall of 1997. A property in Bakersfield is already open. Other California locations already under construction include Fresno, Ontario, Pleasant Hill, Rancho Cordova, and Santa Rosa.

The three-story, tan stucco property in Sacramento is situated on 2 acres and incorporates an exterior corridor. The facility provides easy access to Interstate 80 and Interstate 5 and is 15 miles from the Sacramento International Airport.

Each room is fully furnished and includes a queen-size bed, recliner, television with cable, remote control, telephone with voice mail, a computer data port and free local calls. Additionally, each room has a kitchen with refrigerator, two-burner cooktop, microwave oven, coffee maker, utensils and tableware.

The property also features an on-site laundry facility and vending machines. Guests are provided with weekly housekeeping service and twice-weekly towel service. The property generally will be staffed by five to six full-time and eight to ten part-time personnel.

Weekly room rates are $239 and are a fraction of the cost you'd pay elsewhere for similar features. Nightly stays are also available at $44.
