The Connection to Opportunities (C2O) project, led by East Birmingham and North Solihull Regeneration Zone (ebns), beat off strong competition from across the West Midlands to secure RegenWM's 'Most Transferable Good Practice' prize. It impressed judges with its bespoke be·spoke v. Past tense and a past participle of bespeak. adj. 1. Custom-made. Said especially of clothes. 2. Making or selling custom-made clothes: a bespoke tailor. coaching and mentoring programme that aims to create workplace mentors to support long-term unemployed people to stay in jobs. Gerard Coyne, Chair of RegenWM, said: "26 per cent of the population in the East Birmingham and North Solihull Zone are classed as long-term unemployed. Something different was needed and C2O has been a tremendous success." The Prizes evening, which was held at RegenWM's Millennium Point Millennium Point is a complex in Birmingham, situated in the developing Eastside of the city centre. It is a Millennium Commission project. Designed by Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners, construction is estimated to have cost £114 million. offices in Birmingham, also recognised a second 'ebns' entry with Fazeley Studios securing the 'Highly Commended' title in the 'Creating Outstanding Places' category.
