Only NFL-Licensed and High-Res 640 x 480 N64 Football Video Game

Features Brett Favre

The Acclaim Sports division of Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKLM), a leading worldwide interactive entertainment company, today announced that NFL Quarterback Club '98 for Nintendo 64 is shipping to retail outlets nationwide this Friday. It is the only football game available for N64 featuring the National Football League license, including official team names, colors, logos, uniforms, conferences and the Super Bowl. Acclaim Sports' NFL Quarterback Club '98 for N64 is also licensed by Players Inc. and endorsed by two-time NFL MVP Brett Favre.

NFL Quarterback Club '98 was developed by Acclaim's Austin-based studio, Iguana Entertainment, the same team behind Acclaim's recent blockbuster N64 title, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. The game optimizes all the benefits of the 64-bit system by offering fully polygonal 3-D players and stadiums, incredibly precise control and Acclaim's proprietary motion-capture animation that allows the players to look and move just like their real-life gridiron counterparts. NFL Quarterback Club '98 is also the first N64 game ever to feature high-resolution, 640 x 480 graphics, making it four times as detailed as any other Nintendo 64 game.

"For Nintendo 64 owners, NFL Quarterback Club '98 is the complete football package," said Bob Picunko, director of marketing for Acclaim Sports. "From its startlingly realistic graphics and total team management system to the exclusive NFL license and endorsement from Super Bowl champion Brett Favre, no other football video game brings more to the table."

NFL Quarterback Club '98 has received rave reviews from the press and has been eagerly anticipated by football-starved N64 owners since its announcement last spring. Acclaim Sports is supporting the game with an extensive multi-million-dollar TV advertising and marketing campaign.
