Net revenues for the quarter were $73.2 million, an increase of 76% compared with $41.6 million in the third quarter of the prior year. Net earnings for the quarter were $5.7 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $69.7 million for the same period in the prior year, or a diluted loss per share of $1.40. Gross margin for the quarter was favorably impacted by Nintendo's price reduction on N64 cartridges to third party licensees.

For the nine-month period, net revenues were $234.8 million, an increase of 59% compared with $147.3 million in the same period in the prior fiscal year. Net earnings for the nine-month period were $12.5 million, or $0.22 per diluted share compared with a net loss of $105.5 million for the same period in the prior year, or a diluted loss per share of $2.13.

Revenue for the quarter was impacted by strong demand for its Acclaim Sports branded titles, including the top selling All-Star Baseball All-Star Baseball is a baseball video game series developed and published by Acclaim Entertainment.
