Acclaim Entertainment's Turok 2: Seeds of Evil for PC to Ship February 9, 1999; Highly-Anticipated Title to be Bundled with Full Version of Forsaken and Limited Edition Shadow Man Comic Book.

(NASDAQ:AKLM), a leading worldwide interactive entertainment company, today announced that Turok 2(TM): Seeds of Evil for the PC will ship to retail stores on February 9, 1999. The title, which has already sold more than 1.4 million copies for the Nintendo 64, will debut with a special bundle that includes the full version of Acclaim's futuristic action game, Forsaken. In addition, Turok 2 will ship with a limited-edition copy of Acclaim Comic's premier issue of Shadow Man, which is the inspiration for Acclaim's upcoming game by the same name. The bundle will be available in retail stores across the US and via Acclaim's online store while supplies last.

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil Background

Developed by Acclaim Studio's Salt Lake City facility, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is the sequel to Acclaim Entertainment's highly-successful action game, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. Turok 2 features incredibly realistic environments across six enormous single-player and 40 multiplayer levels, a cadre of the most vile enemies ever assembled and an arsenal of over 20 deadly weapons with which to dispatch them. Turok 2 will also ship with support for GameSpy, a popular Internet gaming utility used by more than 3 million gamers that allows them to find opponents for their favorite games quickly and easily.

Turok 2's storyline returns Turok to the Lost Land to battle the Primagen, an evil force he unknowingly awakened at the end of the first game. The Primagen, imprisoned at the core of the Lost Land, has summoned a massive army of savage creatures to destroy the energy totems that hold him captive. Turok must now end the devastation he has set in motion.

Shadow Man(TM) Background

Set against the mysterious backdrop of voodoo mythology, Shadow Man puts players in the role of Mike LeRoi, English Literature graduate now turned hired assassin, operating within the dark and seedy underworld of New Orleans. LeRoi has the ability to cross over into Deadside, the world of the dead, where he becomes the Shadow Man - an immortal voodoo-warrior with astonishing powers. Shadow Man for PC, Nintendo 64 and Sony Playstation is due to be released Summer 1999.

Forsaken, currently available, elevates the 3-D shooter genre to a new level, allowing for battle on all six axes of movement.
