Cerdeira, 36, fell almost five metres from scaffolding at the
company's North Bay aerospace assembly plant. He was reportedly not
wearing any protective equipment. A Ministry of Labour investigation
revealed the platform had guardrails and footboards around three of its
four sides. Bombardier was issued with six work orders, including a
week-long stop work order to comply with Occupational Health and Safety
legislation.
