AccessLine Communications Corporation, the leading provider of hosted communications and managed voice services, today announced the newest product in its suite of customer-specific, network-based communications services for enterprises. Called iControl(R), the product provides a desktop computer-based call control service that gives users real time management of incoming communications and revolutionizes the way they address both internal and external communications.

iControl enables corporations to simply and effectively direct and manage the volume of incoming communications faced by today's busy professionals. The product seamlessly integrates with each individual's desktop, PBX (Private Branch eXchange) An inhouse telephone switching system that interconnects telephone extensions to each other as well as to the outside telephone network (PSTN).  and corporate network to identify incoming calls and messages. It can also integrate with users' contacts database and calendaring software. iControl's intuitive interface then allows users to determine the urgency and importance of each call and to route calls appropriately, eliminating unwanted interruptions yet enabling users to take the most important calls. , iControl can provide a Web-based conduit between Outlook and AccessLine. The product integrates with multiple databases, allowing users to manage their calendars and contacts seamlessly. iControl extracts information directly from users' contact lists to identify incoming callers by name, company and phone number, enabling them to better coordinate their schedules. While participating in a meeting, for example, users can program incoming calls to be automatically diverted to voicemail, eliminating unnecessary interruptions. Similarly, important callers can be sent to users' cell phones so that they do not miss critical calls during meetings.

As a Java-based client, iControl is designed to work with most Windows and Unix environments. Introductory pricing starts at $5 per month when used in conjunction with other AccessLine services.
