Leading Cisco, Newbridge and Nuera Distributor to Employ

AccessLan's PacketLoop DSLAM (DSL Access Multiplexor) A central office (CO) device for ADSL service that intermixes voice traffic and DSL traffic onto a customer's DSL line. It also separates incoming phone and data signals and directs them onto the appropriate carrier's network. See DSL.  as the Central Element of Turnkey VoDSL

Broadband digital communications connection that operates over standard copper telephone wires. It requires a DSL modem, which splits transmissions into two frequency bands: the lower frequencies for voice (ordinary
(VoDSL) service delivery, today announced a distribution agreement with C&L Communications of San Antonio, Texas “San Antonio” redirects here. For other uses, see San Antonio (disambiguation).
San Antonio is the second most populous city in Texas, the third most populous metropolitan area in Texas, and is the seventh most populous city in the United States. As of the 2006 U.S.
.

C&L, the industry's first VoDSL systems integrator, is a full-service multi-national distributor of high-performance network communications equipment to value-added resellers (VARs), competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs), independent telephone companies and business tenant services (BTS BTS - Bug Tracking System ) providers.

Under the agreement, C&L will use AccessLan's PacketLoop DSL equipment to provide its customers with turnkey DSL solutions. C&L's customers will be able to deliver to their business customers integrated broadband services including Voice over DSL (VoDSL), as well as Internet access services that support e-commerce, Web hosting, application service provisioning, streaming audio and video and more.

"AccessLan is the acknowledged leader in the VoDSL market, with their PacketLoop DSLAMs deployed by a large number of CLECs as well as BTS providers for VoDSL services," said Mike Sonaco, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  for C&L Communications. "AccessLan's field-proven PacketLoop equipment; its industry-leading performance, capacity and scalability; and its interoperability with all the leading VoDSL Gateways and Integrated Access Devices (IADs) makes it the ideal foundation for our turnkey VoDSL service offering."

VoDSL Key to Initiative

VoDSL capability is key to the C&L/AccessLan initiative because it serves as the "wedge" that enables VARs and other carriers to open new market niches. Deploying voice first paves the way for other bundled services to new and existing customers.

C&L is partnering with VARs, CLECs and other small carriers, not only as a distributor but also as a VoDSL consultant and systems integrator, through their Carrier Solutions Division, taking on early DSL deployments that need engineering assistance and a one-stop-shop. C&L will assume inventory risk for the hardware, then preconfigure, stage, ship and install the solutions.

"There is a vast installed base of TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) A technology that transmits multiple signals simultaneously over a single transmission path. Each lower-speed signal is time sliced into one high-speed transmission.  equipment currently in place for integrated voice/data service delivery. The explosive demand for bandwidth driven by the Internet will quickly tax today's TDM solutions for integrated communications," noted Beth Gage, senior analyst for Telechoice. "The combination of C&L's vast telephony experience and AccessLan's PacketLoop equipment helps to address the migration of the local loop from TDM and circuit-switched technologies to the world of packets and VoDSL."

"We're pleased to welcome C&L, a dynamic company with significant experience in deploying turnkey voice/data solutions, to our PacketLoop VAR Program," said Kumar Shah, AccessLan vice president of marketing. "C&L's experience in offering turnkey Voice over TDM, ATM and IP solutions makes them an ideal VAR and Integrator partner to further strengthen and solidify our leadership in the VoDSL market."
