Access Data's Dan Cwenar to Moderate XML Panel At NICSA Technology Forum.

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2001

Dan Cwenar, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Access Data Corp., will moderate a panel of technology experts who will address the future of XML at the National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA NICSA - National Investment Company Service Association) Technology Forum. The discussion is scheduled during the first day of the two-day conference from 1:30-3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25 at the Westin Copley Place in Boston.

Officials from Sun Microsystems, SunGard and IBM will discuss "XML Is the Future - Get Ready for It Today." Cwenar will moderate the presentation that will address the benefits of using XML; the trends, standards, technology and infrastructure considerations for using XML; the status and direction of developing XML standards; and the resources needed for developing XML initiatives.

"With the proliferation of Internet-based transactions in the financial services industry, XML can be a powerful tool for exchanging documents via the Web," explained Cwenar. "However, there are several obstacles that need to be overcome before universal XML standards that would make the exchange of information seamless are adopted."
