Accenture Wins $6.3 Million IT Contract with Defense Logistics Agency.

) has won a $6.3 million contract to provide information technology services for the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA DLA

), which is designed to replace DLA's existing repository for technical data.

The contract covers the first phase of PDMI, which includes document management services, business process reengineering See reengineering. , automation of key business processes, change management services, training and organizational design services.

Accenture will also design the business processes for DLA's Technical & Quality organization in support of aircraft launch and recovery equipment, critical safety items, and individual repair parts ordering data. In addition, Accenture will lead a change management program across the PDMI user community, including DLA, its customers and industry; develop and conduct training for the PDMI community; and evaluate the Technical and Quality organizational structure This article has no lead section.

Subcontractors supporting Accenture on the engagement include Northrop Grumman, Modulant, RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) Ailments of the hands, neck, back and eyes due to computer use. The remedy for RSI is frequent breaks which should include stretching or yoga postures. , Diligent, PSS See EPSS.  and Zytalis.
