Accent Releases New High Resolution RFIC Focused DiVA.Business Editors/High-Tech Writers BEND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 2003 Accent Optical Technologies (www.accentopto.com), a leading supplier of optoelectronics, wireless and silicon semiconductor process control systems, today announced that it has developed a new high-resolution DiVA model, the D225FR. This model has been created to meet the needs of designers working with low current, high frequency, high performance semiconductor FET FET: see transistor. (Field Effect Transistor) One of two major categories of transistor; the other is bipolar. FETs use a gate element that, when charged, creates an electromagnetic field that changes the conductivity of a silicon and bipolar devices. Graham Riley, product marketing director, DiVA said, "This new model expands the DiVA line by providing high resolution pulse I(V) measurements, primarily for IC scale devices. The benefits of fast pulse measurements, resulting in directly measured iso-thermal and iso-dynamic I(V) characteristics, are seen as highly desirable by engineers and scientists working with today's leading edge CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) Pronounced "c-moss." The most widely used integrated circuit design. It is found in almost every electronic product from handheld devices to mainframes. and BiCMOS devices built on technologies like SiGe and Strained Silicon A technique that deposits silicon (Si) on top of silicon germanium (SiGe) for making transistors on a chip. In so doing, the silicon atoms are stretched ("strained") to line up with the silicon germanium atoms, which are wider apart. (sSi)." Using new technology introduced in other recent DiVA models, the D225FR includes enhanced A/D A/D See advance-decline line (A/D). performance for superior resolution. "With increasing levels of integration and performance being demanded in RFIC RFIC Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit RFIC Radio Frequency Interface Chip design, the need for optimal devices and hi-fidelity models that truly represent non-linear RF behavior has never been greater. By facilitating pulse characterization at current levels representative of RFIC applications, the D225FR is a key enabler in the quest for Verb 1. quest for - go in search of or hunt for; "pursue a hobby" quest after, go after, pursue look for, search, seek - try to locate or discover, or try to establish the existence of; "The police are searching for clues"; "They are searching for the both," stated Riley.
