Accent Color Sciences Announces Installation of 11 Truecolor Systems in Third Quarter of 1998.

EAST HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1998--Accent Color Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACLR), a leading provider of high-speed spot color printing systems, today announced an increase in installations of Truecolor(tm) Systems, the company's high-speed spot color post-processor for production printing environments, during the third quarter of 1998.

The customer installations of the new, enhanced, wide-head system, which was introduced in the second quarter of 1998, increased by 11 to 13 as of Sept. 30, 1998, the company said.

Charles E. Buchheit, president and chief executive officer, said the installations took place in five countries and were installed in the company's key target industries, finance, banking, retail and utilities. Among the U.S. customers were ADP, a securities processing and investor communication services provider, and New Century Energies, a utility company in Colorado. He added: "We are pleased with the early installations, and we find there is considerable interest in the spot color solution we offer. We've made significant progress this year, and we see our sales and installation rate increasing as we head toward the end of the year. With our current backlog of orders and pending commitments, we expect achievement of our 1998 build plan."
