Accellion Reports Record Quarter and Fiscal Year for Courier Secure File Transfer Appliance (SFTA).

Email attachment limits and FTP/SFTP administration concerns are driving enterprise adoption of Accellion Courier SFTA solution across vertical markets

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Accellion, Inc. (www.accellion.com), a leading provider of on-demand secure file transfer and data management solutions for enterprise users, announced today that, for the quarter and fiscal year ending September, revenue bookings have increased 50% on a sequential quarterly basis while customer installations have tripled on a year-to-year basis.

"Many organizations use e-mail as a means of exchanging large files with internal and external users. As companies become more aggressive in combating viral attacks via attached files that have embedded malicious code (for example, zip, JPG and GIF files), they also want to severely limit the sizes and types of attachments," according to L. Frank Kenney, research director with Gartner, Inc. "FTP enables file movement between disparate devices and systems, but it doesn't provide management, monitoring, security or process control."

"Accellion SFTA provides an easy to use and easy to administer ad hoc secure file transfer solution for us," said John D.
