Acceleron announced today that it has signed a global agreement with IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  to participate in IBM's Software Investment Initiative, part of IBM PartnerWorld. Acceleron, one of Lotus' Premier Business Partners, has strengthened the relationship with IBM as part of its continued success in driving and growing Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390. Notes provides e-mail, document sharing, workflow, group discussions and calendaring and scheduling.  and Lotus Domino sales. Under the terms of the agreement, Acceleron will work closely with IBM and Lotus to introduce Boomerang to IBM's global network of clients, enabling both firms to provide a platform for streamlined TEM to customers.

Boomerang is a TEM solution that is designed to support companies with locations around the world, with extensive global travel support features, such as the capability to accommodate the complex tax & legal requirements of European-based companies, multiple currency support and trip leg-based reporting for trips that span borders. The solution is currently available in English, French and Spanish, with a German version due in March 2001.
